ARCADE FIRE: in attesa del nuovo album esce “The Lightning I, II” [Guarda il video e il testo]

È in arrivo il nuovo album degli Arcade Fire. Si intitolerà “WE” e uscirà il 6 maggio.

In attesa del disco la band ha pubblicato il video di The Lightning I, II, clip diretta da Emily Kai Bock. 

IL DISCO 

L’album è stato prodotto da Nigel Godrich, Win Butler e Régine Chassagne ed è stato registrato a New Orleans, El Paso e Mount Desert Island.
40 minuti per sette canzoni è diviso in un lato chiamato “I” (un lato di apertura sull’isolamento) e un altro chiamato “WE” (sulla riconnessione); le prime tre tracce sono su “I” e le quattro successive sono su “WE”.

L’ultimo album della band è del 2017 “Everything Now”.

LA COPERTINA

La copertina dell’album presenta una fotografia dell’artista JR con colorazione aerografo di Terry Pastor (che ha lavorato alle copertine di Hunky Dory e Ziggy Stardust di David Bowie). 
Anche se sembra incredibilmente uguale alla copertina di Scott 3 è il terzo album in studio del cantautore statunitense Scott Walker.

LA FORMAZIONE

La formazione della band nell’album è Régine Chassagne, Win Butler, Richard Reed Parry, Tim Kingsbury, Jeremy Gara e Will Butler. Dan Boeckner (dei Wolf Parade), Paul Beaubrun e Sarah Neufeld appaiono tutti nel nuovo video musicale e hanno suonato nella formazione dal vivo della band; Will Butler e Richard Reed Parry erano assenti per le riprese del video.
