DEPECHE MODE: esce “Mode” la raccolta completa
MODE è il titolo della raccolta completa dei lavori dei Depeche Mode sino ad oggi: composta da 14 album in studio – da Speak & Spell a Spirit del 2017 – e da materiali extra album.
In linea con il gusto estetico che contraddistingue da sempre i DM, il box set numerato e in edizione limitata, è un cubo nero elegante e minimalista che racchiude ogni disco in una bustina di carta di colore nero ripiegata a portafoglio.
Tutte le copertine originali degli album sono infatti state reinterpretate in disegni ‘nero su nero’, e realizzate in esclusiva per questo cofanetto. In aggiunta agli album in studio, ben quattro dischi bonus offrono una raccolta cronologica di singoli, b-sides, tracce bonus.
Ad accompagnare il tutto, in uscita 22 novembre 2019, un libro di 228 pagine con i bordi dorati, contenente i testi di tutti i brani, riuniti insieme per la prima volta.
Commentando il contenuto ed il design di questo box set, la band ha detto:
“L’aver raccolto tutto assieme in questa confezione di colore nero rappresenta il riflesso moderno di chi siamo e da dove veniamo. Il box non potrebbe essere più Depeche Mode di così”.
