SOPHIE ELLIS-BEXTOR torna la regina del dancefloor con un nuovo disco
Sophie Ellis-Bextor annuncia la pubblicazione di ‘Songs From The Kitchen Disco: Sophie Ellis-Bextor Greatest Hits’, il nuovo album un arrivo il 13 novembre (Cooking Vinyl).
Anticipato dal brano Crying At The Discotheque, cover della famosa hit di Alcazar, il disco è una collezione di brani rivisitati in chiave disco-pop, dai migliori successi di Sophie Ellis-Bextor ad hit mondiali.
I’m really excited to be putting out ‘Crying at the Discotheque’. I used to sing it sometimes when I was doing a club set, as I always loved the song, and since I sang it during the kitchen discos it forever holds a special place in my heart. I love this version – such a great song and full of the imagery of the discos I always go to in my head when I’m singing.” – afferma Sophie Ellis-Bextor su ‘Crying At The Discotheque’.
L’idea del Greatest Hits arriva dopo le recenti sessions dalla cucina di casa durante il lockdown, momenti live in cui ha intrattenuto i numerosi fan in tutto il mondo, oltre che sé stessa e la sua famiglia, un escapismo virtuale dalla realtà. Lo scorso mese Sophie Ellis-Bextor ha annunciato che avrebbe portato la sua discoteca virtuale dal vivo, con un Kitchen Disco Tour previsto nel 2021, nel quale suonerà i brani contenuti nel Greatest Hits, una collezione di songs che hanno fatto da colonna sonora durante il lockdown. Disponibile in digitale, cd e vinile dai diversi colori, ‘Songs From The Kitchen Disco: Sophie Ellis-Bextor Greatest Hits’ contiene famose hits della stessa artista, da ‘Murder On The Dancefloor’ a ‘Take Me Home’, oltre a cover riviste in chiave disco pop.
