Video e testo: MELANCHOLIA – “Medicine”

MEDICINE è il nuovo video dei Melancholia. Il video arriva dopo un’estate fatta di concerti e sold out, che ha portato la band a suonare per tutta la penisola.

Dopo il fortunato esordio a X Factor 2021, MEDICINE rappresenta l’inizio di un nuovo capitolo per la band di Foligno, che si muove tra sonorità synth-rock, elettroniche e rap. La svolta segna l’ingresso nella nuova realtà creata da RADAR concerti e una nuova immagine per i Melancholia, rappresentata dalle tre linee del logo che sembrano voler sottolineare chi sono Benedetta, Fabio e Filippo: tre fulmini pronti a brillare, a fare rumore.

Il testo del brano, evocativo e dalle tinte forti, è in contrasto con l’energica voce di Benedetta, la frontgirl del gruppo, dalla potente e instancabile personalità, che trasmette nel ritornello la necessità di una medicina e di una tregua a questa loro incessante energia: “be be be / be my medicine / I know that I could break down / but I can sleep now”. 

Medicine è l’inizio di un nuovo capitolo, di una nuova era, di una nuova storia. Rappresenta il senso musicale e sonoro che vogliamo avere, racchiude tutto ciò da cui stiamo attingendo e le esperienze che ci stanno definendo. È come un piccolo spoiler di una trama più grande.”
