Video: THE NATIONAL – Hey Rosey

I The National pubblicano il video di “Hey Rosey”, brano tratto da I Am Easy To Find, l’ottavo album in studio e seguito di Sleep Well Beast del 2017, vincitore di un GRAMMY. 

Il brano vede la presenza alla voce di Gail Ann Dorsey, collaboratrice di lunga data di David Bowie, mentre al video ha collaborato la ballerina Sharon Eyal, co-fondatrice, co-direttrice artistica e coreografa di L-E-V Dance Group, già presente nel video per “Hairpin Turns”.

Il video per “Hey Rosey” è diretto da Mike Mills (20th Century Women, Beginners) già collaboratore dei video per “Hairpin Turns” e “Light Years” e del corto di 24 minuti intitolato I Am Easy to Find, con la partecipazione della vincitrice di un Oscar Alicia Vikander (The Danish Girl, Ex-Machina)

Riguardo al video, Mike Mills afferma:
 
“I had always loved the work of Sharon Eyal, especially her improvisation. Luckily she was also a fan of The National and we began talking about her doing some dance work around the new record. For Hey Rosey, we asked her to be a continuation of Alicia Vikander’s character in I Am Easy To Find – a side of that character we didn’t see in that film, the unconscious of that character, but really left that for Sharon to interpret. I think in subtle, strange, but really powerful ways she found movements and gestures that echo the feelings and themes in Hey Rosey.”
